Wurlitzer 200 Series Key Cushion Cloth
This cloth is found on the end of the key itself making contact with the capstan screw. If this cloth becomes too compressed on your keys, eventually the capstan screw wont even come out far enough to alleviate lost motion. Additionally, if your cushion felt is worn down too far, you can eventually damage the key’s wood itself.
Sold as a continuous roll. The roll is the correct thickness, exactly like the original, and the strip will be cut to the correct depth, as one continuous roll. (now currently sold in green)
Suggested install method:
We recommend first removing all the original felt on the backs of the keys. Then, using contact cement, add glue to several keys at once, and adding glue to a section of the felt cloth and allow the two pieces time to become tacky. Then, apply the felt to one key, and cut by tracing the key edge, using a sharp utility knife. Always be careful when using sharp blades.
