Wurlitzer 200 Series Neon Pilot Light Assembly

from $8.00

This is a new, drop-in, replacement for your Wurlitzer 200 (or 200A) pilot light. The pilot light for your 200 series keyboard (including 206, 206A, 214, 203 etc.) is illuminated by a neon light, which shines through a plastic bezel or lens (not included) on the faceplate. Eventually the neon can burn out (it takes a while), so we have made a true to original replacement, sure to last another half century (or maybe more?).

Sold individually.

This light bulb is for the Wurlitzer 200 series keyboards. We also have pilot lights and lenses for other models of Wurlitzer: 140/720 pilot light; 112/120/140 jewel light

You need this product if:

  • The pilot light on your Wurlitzer 200 does not light up when the keyboard is on

This bulb is in fact neon technology! It is not glaringly bright and it is amber in color.

Installation Instructions

Note: this bulb is connected to a terminal strip that also has mains power applied to it. Your keyboard must be completely unplugged during this installation. This product includes the neon bulb, wire leads, a resistor, and tubing to protect the bulb’s leads. If you purchase the items disassembled, reassemble them by soldering the components together just as the original is constructed. If you choose to purchase a pre-built bulb assembly, the two leads can be soldered to the terminals that the original was soldered to.

The bulb portion is held in place by a small metal clip (not included) which mounts to a bracket on the amp rail, between the volume and vibrato pots. With the bulb slid into the clip, a small dab of clear silicone (preferably electronics grade) can be applied to help hold the bulb in the clip.
