More about the build process
We really like making these preamps, and are very proud of the process. Here’s a list of the steps involved:
Wood is hand selected from a local lumberyard. Then the wood is planed, cut and assembled into a mitered box (heavily reinforced internally, so it is very strong) in house.
The faceplates are cut in the US and arrive bare. We have then finished and labeled locally.
The amplifier circuit is designed and built in house. We have spent years repairing and improving classic tube based tremolo circuits found in vintage amps. We’ve put our favorite vintage design aspects into this preamp and added some circuit considerations we wished they used!
